Anti-riot policemen on Sunday in Abuja fired teargas canisters on harmless protesters calling for the scrapping of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS).
The protesters who were violently dispersed on Saturday night when the police pushed back and fired teargas canisters at the crowd.
The youths regrouped in their number on Sunday morning at the unity fountain and marched toward force headquarters in continuation of their demands for the scrapping of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS).
The protesters were chanting: SARS Must Go! Buhari End SARS Now! in their number wielding placards.
Armed policemen on Saturday violently dispersed the mob when they fired teargas canisters and disrupted the peaceful rally.
But armed anti riot policemen descended on them at while approaching the facility and fired live ammunitions , teargascanisters , pepper and hot water at the crowd .
The mob while advancing toward the police were about kneeling down and raise their hands to signify that they were not violent but met more than what they bargained for as police opened fire on them.
The protesters at first refused to run away despite the shooting of teargas and spraying of hot water until live bullets were fired.
The police water canon trucks were seen chasing the youths in different directions in the city as many of them were manhandled in the process.
